Pyrography, otherwise know as wood-burning, is the act of burning artwork onto wood.

I am lucky enough to work with a talented carpenter who creates the bespoke wooden canvas for me from a range of sustainable and locally sourced hardwoods. Mostly we work in birch, cherry, lime, elm, oak and beech.

I specialise in people & pet portraits as well as landscapes. I am also always interested in your ideas for the perfect piece.  

Pyrography is a beautiful and unique way to preserve a special memory or create a unique piece of art, letting the natural grain and colour of the wood be the perfect backdrop.

All pieces of art are finished with a natural oil and beeswax solution and fixed with a wall hanging if appropriate.
